Falling in love (trap)
So here I am sitting in Taiwan. Age 26, turning 27 in October and starting to accept I will be single the rest of my life. Is falling in love supposed to be a temporary emotion we feel and get bored of? Sure feels like it. The definition of personality has changed. It's no longer, "the essential character of a person," as defined by dictionary.com. It is a) house b) car c) money/job d) height e) body f) ability to take care of the opposite sex and their family. This is what I learned from 3 weeks in Asia. I have an unrealistic perspective of meeting a girl and falling in love with 'the one.' How has it worked out for me? Nada. I'm not going to have a checklist for girls I encounter anymore. I will simply go in with an open mind because everybody is unique in their own way. It's not like ordering a computer with all the specs you want. If I meet a great girl, GREAT. If I don't, GREAT. I just want a simple life.
